2026 Newport Classical Poster Competition
CALLING ALL ARTISTS
For over 56 years, our Festival has brought world-class musicians to Newport’s most iconic venues, from gilded-age mansions to seaside outdoor settings, celebrating classical music as a living art form.
Newport Classical invites artists, designers, and creatives of all backgrounds to submit original work for our 2026 Newport Classical Music Festival Poster Competition. Artists are encouraged to draw inspiration from Newport itself, our distinctive venues, and the energy of live performing arts, while leaving plenty of room for their own unique artistic voice.
One winning design will become the official poster for the 2026 Newport Classical Summer Music festival, and will be seen by audiences from around the world. The poster will be placed around town to promote Newport Classical’s Summer festival, will be featured on Newport Classical’s social media, and will be shown at Newport Classical’s festival concerts in July. The winner will be compensated $500.00 USD.
Submissions are due April 1. The winning design will be announced on May 5. Please email all submissions to info@newportclassical.org with the subject line “Poster Competition Submission.” Please include a brief description of your work and any inspiration behind it. The design somewhere must include: dates of the festival (July 2-19 2026), year of the festival (57th year), and say “Newport Classical Music Festival.” All files must be submitted as PNG or JPG and sized to 6.5″ × 9″ (3900 × 5400 px).
