“Mesmerizing artistry and extraordinary ability to communicate” (The Post-Standard), “Poetic, electrifying” (Michigan Live), “a gifted virtuoso” (San Francisco Chronicle), “masterful technique and a veritable deluge of sonorities” (La Presse Montreal), describe 25-year-old Llewellyn Sanchez-Werner for performances that have stirred the intellect and humanity of his audiences on five continents.
Jordan Bak
The 2021 YCAT Robey Artist and a top laureate of the 2020 Sphinx Competition, Bak is also a Grand Prize winner and Audience Prize recipient of the 2019 Concert Artists Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition, the recipient of the 2019 Samuel Sanders Tel Aviv Museum Prize and the 2019 John White Special Prize from the Tertis International Viola Competition. In addition, Jordan Bak is a member of the celebrated New York Classical Players and is a featured artist for WQXR’s Artist Propulsion Lab.
Ariel Horowitz
Winner of won the Concert Artists Guild Ambassador Prize and joined the Concert Artists Guild roster. A recent graduate of the Yale School of Music under the tutelage of Ani Kavafian, Ariel previously studied with Itzhak Perlman and Catherine Cho at The Juilliard School. Ariel is a prizewinner of the Grumiaux, Stulberg, and Klein International Competitions as well as the Salon De Virtuosi Career Grant. In the Fall of 2019, Ariel joined the faculty of Mount Holyoke College, teaching violin and chamber music.

Blithewold, a summer estate built in the late 19th century by the Van Wickle family and representative of the County Place Era, encompasses 33 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens overlooking the Narragansett Bay.

Parking and Accessibility Information:

Free on-site parking is available. Limited accessible parking is available by advance reservation with the Box Office. This venue is only partially wheelchair accessible due to a gravel parking lot.

Seating will open 30 minutes prior to the start of the concert. However, please arrive early to find parking.

No, there will not be an intermission.

We regret that there are no refunds or cancellations.

If you are unable to use your tickets, you may donate them to Newport Classical for resale up until 30 minutes prior to the performance. Once your donated tickets are received by the box office, a tax receipt will be mailed to you approximately four weeks after the performance date.

Subject to availability, if you are unable to attend a performance, you will be eligible for a complimentary exchange into a future performance in the same season. Exchanges may be requested up until the performance curtain time, and ticket buyers will be asked to pay the difference in price should the replacement performance ticket price exceed that of the original ticket.
