Celebrate the conclusion of the 54th Newport Classical Music Festival and the 275th anniversary of the Redwood Library & Athenæum in this intimate and historic performance and reception! German-Canadian award-winning cellist Johannes Moser joins acclaimed young American pianist Drew Petersen in a celebratory evening of duets. Opening with Debussy’s iconic Sonata and Brahms’ first cello sonata, the evening concludes with Franck’s best-known compositions, considered to be one of the finest sonatas for violin and piano ever written.
During the special extended intermission reception, explore the Library and enjoy a champagne toast in addition to a hosted bar with an array of hors d’oeuvres to mark the end of the 2022 Festival.
This concert is dedicated to Jennie and Steve Huttler and Dennis and Roseanne Williams in recognition of their generous support of Newport Classical.
