Charismatic Norwegian violinist Eldbjørg Hemsing is one of the leading young violinists of our time. At Newport Classical, she returns to her roots as a specialist of the music of Edvard Grieg, opening this imaginative program with his Sonata for violin and piano No. 2. Llewellyn Sanchez-Werner, a Festival Artist and “gifted virtuoso” (San Francisco Chronicle), joins Ms. Hemsing from the piano for this astonishing recital program.

Forte is a fast-paced ensemble cast documentary, featuring Tatiana Berman, Lucia Caruso, and Eldbjørg Hemsing, and explores the notion of success and excellence from the female perspective.

Newport Classical Festival Artist Llewellyn Sanchez-Werner will perform prior to the screening, and violinist Eldbjørg Hemsing will join producer Anastasia Boudanoque in a post-screening conversation.

Doors will open 30 minutes prior to the start of the concert. However, please arrive early to find parking.

Yes, there will be a 20-minute intermission.

All tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. All tickets may be donated back to Newport Classical as a tax-deductible contribution.
