Festival Artists Finale

This concert will feature the 2022 Festival Artists in their final performance of the summer, at the historic Emmanuel Church. This invigorating program of music will open with Mozart’s Piano Trio in B-flat Major, considered the finest piano trio of the form. The most technically challenging piece in the viola repertoire, George Enescu’s Concertstück precedes the beautiful and romantic first piano trio by Cecile Chaminade to close out this electrifying showcase. All ticket sales for this performance will go toward supporting Emmanuel Church and the vibrant community who gathers here.

Jordan Bak
The 2021 YCAT Robey Artist and a top laureate of the 2020 Sphinx Competition, Bak is also a Grand Prize winner and Audience Prize recipient of the 2019 Concert Artists Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition, the recipient of the 2019 Samuel Sanders Tel Aviv Museum Prize and the 2019 John White Special Prize from the Tertis International Viola Competition. In addition, Jordan Bak is a member of the celebrated New York Classical Players and is a featured artist for WQXR’s Artist Propulsion Lab.
Ariel Horowitz
Winner of won the Concert Artists Guild Ambassador Prize and joined the Concert Artists Guild roster. A recent graduate of the Yale School of Music under the tutelage of Ani Kavafian, Ariel previously studied with Itzhak Perlman and Catherine Cho at The Juilliard School. Ariel is a prizewinner of the Grumiaux, Stulberg, and Klein International Competitions as well as the Salon De Virtuosi Career Grant. In the Fall of 2019, Ariel joined the faculty of Mount Holyoke College, teaching violin and chamber music.

Doors will open 30 minutes prior to the start of the concert. However, please arrive early to find parking and allow time for ushers to check your vaccination status or negative test results.

All tickets are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. All tickets may be donated back to Newport Classical as a tax-deductible contribution. In consideration of your fellow patrons and performers, if you have come in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, or are experiencing symptoms consistent with exposure, please contact the box office to exchange or donate your tickets.

Parking and Accessibility Information: Limited parking is available in a lot directly across the street on a first come, first served basis, in addition to parking along Spring Street.
