Musical Love Triangle: Brahms and the Schumanns

This concert is made possible through the generous support of Donald W. Osborne and Frank Garofolo &Marjorie Yashar and Gerry Gibian.

In this evocative concert, the Festival Artists will explore the captivating love triangle between Johannes Brahms, Robert Schumann, and Clara Schumann—one of classical music’s most complex relationships. Though their love could not be revealed during Robert’s life, Brahms and Clara’s bond remained steadfast even after his passing. The music of Brahms and the Schumanns offers a window into their emotional world, brought to life in an intimate concert at the Newport Art Museum. Arrive early to explore the museum’s inspiring exhibits for a truly enriching experience.
