An evening of sublime choral artistry awaits with The Gesualdo Six, an award-winning British vocal ensemble celebrated for its impeccable blend and imaginative programming. Works include Renaissance polyphony by Palestrina, Tallis, and Gesualdo that contain startling harmonic shifts, with reflections by Veljo Tormis, Franz Schubert, and Gerda Blok-Wilson.

GRAMMY® Award-winning soprano Karen Slack brings her operatic virtuosity to African Queens, an extraordinary evening of music and storytelling, featuring a powerful selection of new works by some of today’s most acclaimed composers. “One of the nation’s most celebrated sopranos,” Slack is joined by pianist Kevin J. Miller to present this collaborative song cycle, which shines a spotlight on seven fierce African Queens, whose legacies as rulers and warriors have often been overlooked in the West, with each piece reflecting their beauty, passion, humility, and power. 
Surrounded by the serene beauty of the Norman Bird Sanctuary, join the Festival Artists for this delightful outdoor morning program of captivating chamber music in harmony with nature. Galvin Cello Quartet has quickly become a force in the classical music world. Known for their innovative approach to new music, this concert will feature the world premiere of a piece commissioned by Newport Classical from Canadian Indigenous cellist and composer Cris Derksen, alongside works by Beethoven, Mozart, Mussorgsky, and Tchaikovsky, blending beloved classics with exciting new compositions.
This one-of-a-kind Cajun-Persian viola duo celebrates the virtuosity of the viola through their charismatic performances. This concert features works celebrating living composers and reimagining classical favorites, showcasing the duo’s ability to take audiences on a “musical journey that travels far and wide across genre-defying compositions.”
Jessica Vosk is a celebrated singer and actress known for electrifying roles in musical theater and on concert stages, including a sold-out Carnegie Hall debut in 2021. Best known for her star turn as Elphaba in Wicked—first on tour and then for the show’s 15th anniversary on Broadway—Vosk played the iconic green witch for two years.
