We regret that there are no refunds or cancellations.

If you are unable to use your tickets, you may donate them to Newport Classical for resale up until 90 minutes prior to the performance. Once your donated tickets are received by the box office, a tax receipt will be mailed to you approximately four weeks after the performance date.

Subject to availability, if you are unable to attend a performance, you will be eligible for a complimentary exchange into a future performance in the same season. Exchanges may be requested up until 90 minutes before a concert, and ticket buyers will be asked to pay the difference in price should the replacement performance ticket price exceed that of the original ticket. Newport Classical's annual season runs from September through August of the following year.

To donate your tickets or request an exchange, please email us at info@newportclassical.org or give us a call at 401.846.1133 x1.

Newport Classical is the only official online source for purchasing tickets to performances and events. Please note that, although you may be able to purchase Newport Classical tickets through ticket brokers and resellers, this is not recommended. Third-party ticket vendors purchase tickets the same way that you can purchase them yourself, and often resell them at exorbitant markups. If there is a problem with your order and you purchased tickets from any site other than newportclassical.org, we are unable to assist. Tickets advertised or acquired through a re-seller cannot be verified and seating is not guaranteed. Furthermore, in the event of time changes, cancellations, and other updates, the Metropolitan Opera will not be able to notify you.

Thanks to a generous grant from the Gruben Charitable Foundation, we are pleased to offer a limited number of free Chamber Series tickets on a first-come, first-serve basis. These are available for students of all ages and an accompanying parent or teacher. They are also available to community members of all ages for whom ticket prices are out of reach. With enough notice, we may be able to accommodate small groups.

Please  email Elsa Carreras with your ticket requests at ecarreras@newportclassical.org!

Concert Experience

Doors open 30 minutes prior to the start of every concert. However, please allow time to find parking.

The following Music Festival venues are outdoor locations:
Blithewold Mansion - Tent with pre-assigned seating
Castle Hill Inn - Tent with pre-assigned seating
King Park - Open air with general admission seating. Bring your own blanket or chairs!
Norman Bird Sanctuary - Open air with general admission seating. Seating will be provided.

Audience attire runs the gamut at the Newport Classical Music Festival and we welcome patrons to wear what makes them feel the most comfortable! Daytime concerts tend to be more casual, while audiences attending evening concerts often wear smart casual or Newport chic attire.

For concerts at The Breakers: A friendly reminder that The Breakers is now equipped with air conditioning both for your comfort and to preserve the historical artifacts in the mansion. As the temperature cannot be controlled and it can become chilly, please dress accordingly.

COVID-19 Policy

In accordance with CDC and state guidelines, masks are no longer required. However, we reserve the right to implement a masking requirement if cases begin to surge in Rhode Island. Any changes will be communicated to ticket holders in advance of their performance.

Indoor venues: The Breakers, The Elms, Newport Art Museum, The Colony House, Chinese Tea House, Redwood Library & Anthenaeum, Emmanuel Church
Outdoor Tented venues: Blithewold Mansion, Castle Hill Inn
Outdoor venues: King Park, Norman Bird Sanctuary

After careful consideration, and in response to the change in Rhode Island’s COVID-19 Community Spread status from Medium to Low, we have decided to lift the remaining restrictions for concert attendance. As such, we will no longer require proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test to attend performances, and mask wearing is recommended, but optional.

We do ask that you please stay home if you are exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms or have been exposed to COVID-19 in advance of the concert. For our full updated Health and Safety Policy, we invite you to visit our website: https://newportclassical.org/health-and-safety/
