“Newport Classical will present three free concerts designed for families and children from August through October as part of its Community Concerts Series presented by BankNewport. The Grammy Award-winning Akropolis Reed Quintet will perform Saturday, Aug. 23, at 4 p.m. at the Newport County YMCA, 792 Valley Road, Middletown. The interactive concert will feature selections from the group’s six albums, including “Death Metal Chicken” and “Circusmuziek,” along with musical storytelling games. An instrument petting zoo and food from Wally’s Wiener Wagon will be available before the show.”
