Pianist Asiya Korepanova plays Mussorgsky and Rachmaninoff

Women leaning on piano

This concert is made possible through the generous support of Laura and Stephen Lang.

The only pianist currently performing Liszt’s 24 Etudes as a single program and one of few to tout a concerto list that features over 60 works, Asiya Korepanova is a pianistic powerhouse. Asiya is recognized not only for her achievements as a pianist, but also for her work as a composer, visual artist, and poet, reflecting her uncompromising dedication to the arts. Asiya debuts with Newport Classical performing an eclectic program entitled, Transformations. This program of self-transcribed works for piano explores how music transforms and explores different meanings when performed on alternative instrumentation than originally written.
