Leila Josefowicz plays Beethoven and Debussy

This concert is made possible through the generous support of Esmond and Jerome Harmsworth in honor of Mary, Viscountess Rothermere, a staunch friend and supporter of what was then the Newport Music Festival, and a great lover of classical music, who would be so delighted if she could be here today.

Hailed for her “technical prowess and expressive depth” (San Francisco Chronicle), Leila Josefowicz brings her extraordinary artistry to The Breakers for an evening of exceptional music. Known for her dynamic performances and commitment to expanding the boundaries of the violin, Josefowicz is joined by acclaimed pianist Alexei Tartakovsky. Together, they offer a program featuring works by Beethoven, Debussy, and Stravinsky. This is a rare opportunity to experience Josefowicz’s artistry in one of Newport’s most standout venues.
