Opening Night: Two Pianos with Alessio Bax and Lucille Chung

Ring in the 56th Newport Classical Music Festival with a performance by celebrated concert pianists Alessio Bax and Lucille Chung as we return to The Breakers for Opening Night. This real-life marriage, full of abundant artistic chemistry, passion, and stunning virtuosity, has led to one of the most appealing and impressive piano duos of our time. This program for two pianos and four hands features works by Busoni, Poulenc, Schubert, Debussy, and Piazzolla, showcasing the duo’s seamless synchronicity and musical artistry against the stunning setting of The Breakers Mansion.

Doors will open 30 minutes prior to the start of the concert. However, please arrive early to find parking.

Yes, there will be a 20-minute intermission.

We regret that there are no refunds or cancellations.

If you are unable to use your tickets, you may donate them to Newport Classical for resale up until 90 minutes prior to the performance. Once your donated tickets are received by the box office, a tax receipt will be mailed to you approximately four weeks after the performance date.

Subject to availability, if you are unable to attend a performance, you will be eligible for a complimentary exchange into a future performance in the same season. Exchanges may be requested up until 90 minutes before a concert, and ticket buyers will be asked to pay the difference in price should the replacement performance ticket price exceed that of the original ticket. Newport Classical's annual season runs from September through August of the following year.
