Children’s Concert: WindSync performs Peter and the Wolf

This concert is made possible through the generous support of Randy and Becky Johnson in honor of their granddaughter Schuyler Madison and is presented as part of the BankNewport Community Concerts Series.

Cultivate your little one’s appreciation for classical music with WindSync in this free, educational, family-friendly show that brings classical music to life with an unforgettable cast of characters. Complete with costumes and choreography, this engaging performance introduces the five wind instruments of the orchestra and concludes with an exciting retelling of Peter and the Wolf by Sergei Prokofiev. Peter, the wolf, and their friends the duck, the cat, and the little bird will make a live appearance!

WindSync

The Newport County YMCA has been serving Newport County since 1878. The Newport County YMCA builds strong kids, strong families, and strong communities by offering programs such as daycare, after school programming, summer camps, family events, programs for youth, teens and seniors, wellness, gymnastics, squash, Special Olympics, and aquatics classes. The YMCA provides programming for all age groups and will continue to develop these programs in order to meet the needs of our community.

Free parking is available onsite.

ACCESSIBILITY 
Fully wheelchair accessible. We recommend wearing flat shoes to this grassy outdoor space. 

This event is open air with general admission seating. Bring your own blanket or chairs!

This concert is approximately an hour long, without intermission.

In a case of inclement weather, the performance will move inside the YMCA.
